Makcu Setup (Flashing)
This guide shows how to flash your Makcu safely so it runs smooth and error-free. We keep the steps simple for beginners.
Good to know: “flash” = write/update the firmware. “Left/Right” = the two sides of the board.
Pre-Setup
1) Run from your 2nd PC
- To avoid leaving temporary files on your main PC, run everything from your second PC.
- During use, the tool will unpack files into a local temp folder. This is normal.
2) Download the AIO Tool
Get the latest files here: Download AIO Tool
3) Open MAKCU.EXE and let it update
- Launch MAKCU.EXE and allow the auto-update if prompted.
4) Required hardware
- One USB cable to connect the Makcu to your 2nd PC.
Flashing
Step 1 — Flash the LEFT side
- Press and hold the LEFT button.
- While holding, plug the USB cable into the LEFT USB port of the board.
- The AIO Tool should show: “MCU connected in flash mode”.
- In the AIO Tool, click Flash Left.
- Wait until the process completes.
- Unplug the USB cable from the left port.
Step 2 — Flash the RIGHT side
- Press and hold the RIGHT button.
- Plug the USB cable into the RIGHT USB port.
- In the AIO Tool, click Flash Right.
- Wait for the flash to finish, then unplug the USB cable.
After Flash
- Close the top cover and store the cable safely.
- If something looks wrong, re-do the steps slowly, one side at a time.
Troubleshooting
- No device detected? Try another USB port/cable and hold the correct button when plugging in.
- Stuck during flash? Close the AIO Tool, reconnect the board in flash mode, reopen the tool, and try again.
- Antivirus blocks the tool? Temporarily allow it, then restore protection after flashing.
